Hey everyone! I’m a U2 student, born in Montreal, but actually raised in Istanbul, Turkey. I’m studying Information Systems and minoring. I enjoy database management in the IT sector, and other than that I love almost all kind of sports. My main goal for SSMU Women in Tech is to inspire students interested in information technology into entering this sector, and to provide members with the knowledge they might need. As for my role, I’m responsible for representing this club at external events, leading the team of Vice-Presidents and for searching new opportunities for our club. I’m looking forward to an amazing year with you all!

I love talking about global affairs, traveling and naturally, technology! (I might be a little addicting to gaming, but don't tell anyone). Hey! I’m Gemma and I’m a U3 student majoring in Human Resources, with a concentration in Accounting. I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. As much as I miss the west coast, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come to McGill. I’m passionate about technology, and I’ve served as the Social Media VP for clubs in the past. I’m really excited to be on the Women in Tech team, and I’m looking forward to planning some amazing events!

Hey everyone! I’m a U3 student in my third year at McGill. I was born and raised in Jordan. I’m an IS major. With a concentration in finance and maybe accounting. Why technology? Mainly because I’m following my gut and passion. What technologies? BIG DATA. As co-president of Women in Tech, I intend to reach as many people possible who are interested in technology, and try to create a network and a platform for sharing expertise and notes. Along with Lara, I will represent this club, and lead the wonderful team of execs!

Hi! I'm a U3 management student majoring in Information Systems. As my major would suggest, I am very interested in technology as well as social media. I'm also a certified makeup artist and participate in a musical theatre production here and there. I am so excited to have joined the Women in Tech executive team to promote the empowerment of women in the technology field. I look forward to being involved in planning some great events for you!

Hello SSMU friends! My name is Haya Haffar and I am the VP finance for Women in Tech. With a finance major and accounting minor, numbers are my thing and this is why I will be taking care of this position. I enjoy meeting new people and traveling around the world as I feel that by exchanging information about a culture or experiencing a different culture I learn most. I am passionate about women empowerment which is why I am very excited to be one of the starting executives of this group.
